Everything Will Be Ok- G-Eazy (ft Kehlani)

One thing I learned early on in school was to attract the reader’s attention with the opening sentence or two. So, person reading this, I want you to know that this is one of the darkest, deepest songs I have ever heard. Do I have your attention? Good.

G-Eazy’s new album “When It’s Dark Out” dropped yesterday and I’ve been listening to is non stop since then. It is a tremendous album, G-Eazy’s second one, that shows a lot of growth from the Bay area rapper. He touches on many topics, from how he handles fame to trying to find himself to straight braggadocio “I’m the man” bars. Whether you need a banger at a party or you just want to chill out after a long day at work, this album has ton of great songs for all occasions. But my favorite song is “Everything Will Be Ok.” If you’ve read a lot of my other posts, you’ll realize I truly love music with meaning and raw emotion. And you will be hard pressed to find a song with more meaning and emotion than this one. The song digs deep into G-Eazy’s mind as he spills his thoughts about his life, family, and a traumatic incident from his childhood that seriously blew my mind as I listened to it. Sometimes, we put these guys on a pedestal and forget they’re human. Songs like this put that into perspective and make you realize how hard some people have had to work to overcome so many different things. The last verse will give you the feels unlike many other songs can and if it doesn’t, you might not be human.

You can check out the rest of the album on Spotify, iTunes, and stores everywhere.

G-Eazy- Random

G-Eazy season is approaching.  Young Gerald released the latest single off his upcoming sophomore album “When It’s Dark Out.”  In a recent interview, he said his entire album is inspired my horror movies.  From the start, you can hear the influence of these films.  This song BUMPS and gets me even more excited for his album.  Straight heat.  Be careful playing this around flammable materials.  Add this to all your playlists for tonight.  What better way to get the people going on Halloween than to put on a new banger inspired by a horror movie? Exactly, there is no better way.
