Sunday RnR: Rage Against the Machine – Evil Empire

This week on Sunday RnR, aside from taking a break from bumping Kendrick’s new album (as hard as it is to stop), we have the 21st anniversary of Rage Against the Machine’s Evil Empire, released April 16, 1996. The big hitter on this one is “Bulls on Parade”, the first single and for sure the one Rage Against the Machine song anyone would know. “Vietnow”, “People of the Sun”, and “Down Rodeo” were also released as singles from this album, a lot of which with politically charged lyrics still relevant in certain aspects of today’s society. I’m personally a pretty big fan of “Revolver”. Evil Empire has some of the best examples of the different musical styles of the members coming together to make not only something unique, but freaking cool.
