Sunday RnR: Ozzy Osbourne – No More Tears

Ozzy Osbourne released one of his most successful solo albums, No More Tears, 25 years ago on September 17, 1991. During the time of recording, Ozzy was attempting to get sober. So while some tracks, like the title track “No More Tears”, were written while Ozzy was still deep in the bottle, most were written free of substances. As a result, Ozzy was unsure of the album overall, but a team including Zakk Wylde on guitar, and some help from Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister on the writing side of things, the album was a huge success. Songs like “Desire”, “Zombie Stomp”, and “Hellraiser” gave us that heavy metal fix, while the album also had slower, more heartfelt songs like “Mama, I’m Coming Home” and “Road to Nowhere”. So here we are after 25 years, and the album is still some of Ozzy’z best work. Enjoy.
