#TBT Happy Birthday Tupac

Today marks what would have been Tupac’s 45th birthday. The entire hip-hop community has shown great love towards the legendary emcee since his tragic death in 1996. Not only did Pac put out great music, but his overall influence as a person reached across the globe. He spoke harsh realities and shed light on the struggles African-American men and women faced in this prejudiced country. When you look at his impact in the hip-hop community, it’s almost overwhelming. Pretty much every rapper growing up in the 90s looked up/still looks up to this man. He is the reason we have guys like 50 Cent, Game, Kendrick Lamar, and so on. He is also well known for his positive, and inspiring quotes. One of my favorites, which I think is so prevalent when you look at Kendrick Lamar and what he’s doing, is: “I’m not saying I’m gunna change the world, but I guarantee that I will spark the brain that will change the world.” Thank you for all you did in your short life Pac. Happy birthday.
