Remembering The Notorious B.I.G.

It’s been 19 years since the death of one of the greatest rappers of all time, Christopher Wallace, AKA The Notorious B.I.G. In his short life, Biggie was able to provide us with some of the best rhymes of all time, one of the best debut albums ever, and influenced East coast hip-hop like never before. Here’s a vintage clip of Big freestyling at the age of 17 in Brooklyn:

His debut album Ready to Die paved the way for many New York rappers and their respective debut albums – such as Jay Z’s Reasonable Doubt and Nas’ Illmatic. It’s such a shame that the world lost such a talented artist as a result of the East coast/West coast feud at the young age of 24. Biggie was one of the GOATs. Blast this playlist today so everyone can remember how dope Biggie Smalls was.
