“Ashes, Ashes, We All Fall Down”

Okay so that’s technically from the Ring Around the Rosey song/game we all used to play when we were 8 years old, but it felt appropriate here.

Denver-based dj / producer Nick Miller better known as Illenium, recently dropped his debut album Ashes.

The album leads off with my personal favorite track from the album called Reverie, an uplifting progressive track complemented with the angelic vocals of King Deco. From there, Illenium takes you on an emotional journey through the album, pulling your heart left and right. He ends the album with a World’s-esque banger called Afterlife that brings closure to an amazing journey.

Overall the album is masterfully produced and the vibes, in my opinion, run parallel to the artwork.

Show him some love on Twitter @Illeniummusic and be sure to check out his tour schedule.

Until next time,
