Countdown to Waves: Day 2 – Late Registration

Day 2 of the 7 day countdown to Kanye West’s new album Waves. It’s kind of unfortunate that GOOD Fridays haven’t exactly been a thing the last two weeks, but I’m still here to give you your daily dose of Yeezy.

Late Registration released on August 30th, 2005 – a little over a year and half after Kanye released TCD. Kanye had features on features in this album, from people like Jay-Z, Lupe Fiasco, Adam Levine, Nas, Paul Wall, Jamie Foxx, the list goes on. Yeezy collaborated with film composer Jon Brion to produce the album, which is where he got the influence and motivation to use a lot of orchestral and string arrangements. People doubted Kanye to meet the high expectations he set for himself with The College Dropout, but this album absolutely lived up to the hype. Check out another great Kanye album in full and my top 5 from the album down low. Happy Friday y’all. February 11th can’t come soon enough.
