What a time to be alive, isn’t it? Drake and Future, two of the hottest artists in the game currently, dropped an 11 song collaborative mixtape that set the internet ablaze yesterday. Since I got home from work late last night, I’ve managed to listen to it about 5 times already and can say it is good. Not surprising considering both these dudes dropped two of the most sold albums this year (Drake with “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” and Future with “Dirty Sprite 2”). This album features the best of both artists and is one to bump while riding through the city or to get the party started. Some of the standout tracks for me include “Diamonds Dancing,” “I’m The Plug,” and “Big Rings.” Drake’s “30 for 30 Freestyle” is also really dope and ends the album on a high note. In the song he addresses his one-sided beef with Meek Mill and Funk Flex, among other topics. The whole album is a great mix of instrumentals, as producers Metro Boomin, Boi-1da, and Noah “40” Shabib all have a hand in the project.
For those that don’t have Spotify or can’t get it to work, unfortunately Youtube and Soundcloud don’t have these songs up. So it is up to you to go out and get the mixtape or find a friend that has it. In the end, it’ll be worth it. I promise
